Laura and me are currently stuck in Chile. Borders are closed and the country is divided by sanitary checkpoints that prevents us from traveling for now. We used this time to edit a best of video of our time in Patagonia. If you too are stuck during this difficult time, why not check it out. You will discover this incredible land of adventure and witness breathtaking sceneries both from argentinian and chilean side.

Laura et moi sommes actuellement coincés au Chili, les frontières étant fermé et le pays divisé par des checkpoint sanitaire il nous est impossible de voyager. Nous avons profité de ce moment pour monter une vidéo best of de la Patagonie. Si vous êtes aussi bloqué par cette situation angoissante, pourquoi ne pas passer cinq minutes en notre compagnie. La vidéo vous feras découvrir la beauté incroyable de la Patagonie, véritable terre d’aventure, aussi bien du côté argentin que du côté chilien. Bon visionage.

Laura und ich sitzen derzeit in Chile fest. Wie überall sind die Grenzen sind dicht und das Land selbst hat sanitäre Stationen de verschiedenen Regionen, was es unmöglich macht weiter zu reisen. Wir profitierten von dieser entstandenen Zeit ein Video Best of Patagonia zusammenzustellen. Wenn ihr auch irgendwie in dieser Krisensituation festsitzt, warum nicht fünf Minuten abgelenkt werden mit der unglaublichen Schönheit Patagoniens, Gegend der Abenteuer und atemberaubenden Landschaften, sowohl auf argentinischer als auch chilenischer Seite der Anden.

If you attempt to cross the border to Chile you might have heard a lot of rumors about what you can bring or not. You have to fill out a paper and declare your goods. Because of the chance of a fine it’s better to put the tick at „yes“ in case they find whatsoever. Here is the reason why, on the back of the sheet you have an enormous list of forbidden things. When you declare or show that you might have something the staff of the toll are way more friendly and maybe let get you through with it. The luggage is controlled randomly, by x-ray scanner and one or two dogs sniffing around everywhere. To avoid troubles just don’t take any fresh food for the border crossing.

Diese Liste an verbotenen und erlaubten Gütern findet sich auf dem Formular des Grenzübergangs nach Chile. Um Problemen aus dem Weg zu gehen empfiehlt es sich „yes“ anzukreuzen wenn es darum geht anzugeben was im Rucksack ist, gar keine frischen Nahrungsmittel erst mitzunehmen und einfach zweifelhafte Sachen zu zeigen. Die Zoll-Beamten sind dann weitaus freundlicher und entgegenkommend. Auch das aufgegebene Gepäck wird stichprobenartig gefilzt, gegebenenfalls mit Röntgenscanner kontrolliert und alles wird mehrmals von ein oder zwei Hunden abgeschnüffelt.

Die Liste ist leider nur in Spanisch und Englisch, wenn ihr etwas genauer wissen wollt scheut nicht in der Rubrik Comments zu fragen.

Vous avez probablement entendu beaucoup d’histoires à propos du passage à la frontière chilienne et en effet il ne rigole pas vraiment avec le contrôle. Avant vôtre passage il vous est donné une longue liste de choses qu’il est interdit de prendre avec soit au Chili. Il est préférable si vous avez un doute ou si vous transporté une chose proscrite de la déclarer directement sur le papier, les gardes frontière sont plus aimables dans ce cas là et pour des petites choses comme des produits alimentaires il laisseront peut-être couler. Nous vous déconseillons de tenter de passer quelques chose en douce car ils contrôlent les bagages de manière aléatoire, mais aussi avec des chiens et de scanner à rayons X. Si vous vous faites attraper vous risquez une amende voir l’interdiction d’entrée sur le territoire chilien. Le plus facile et de passer la frontière sans aucun produit interdit.
